Hiya, I'm Michelle
To be perfectly honest, I'm a complete dork trying to play it off as a cool kid.
I'm a fan of laughing at yourself for silly little klutzy things, indie rock lyrics, and- as cliche as it sounds- catching a killer sunset.
I'm a complete sap for a love story. Even after 8 years of being in the wedding industry, I still find myself getting misty eyed during first looks and daddy daughter dances.
I'm here for the self proclaimed "practical" romantics, the craft beer enthusiasts, the SUPER BAD dance moves, and those who aren't admit how incredibly cheesy they actually are at heart.
"...because I truly believe in real, authentic,
I-give-a-huge-shit-about-you kind of love. And seeing, and witnessing that with my camera has truly been the greatest joy in my life so far."
As a Memphis, Tennessee Wedding photographer, I have been calling the Grind City my home for the past 9 years. I love the city, the lifestyle, and even the incredibly stupid traffic (although that won't keep the road rage down). I came here for my BFA in Photography and stayed for the Grind City life
My work focuses on the actions we take to show how we care and love for each other. I cherish all types of human connection, and believe that our most precious memories deserve to be preserved in a way that personable and true to us.
No matter the type of wedding you’re planning, it should be documented in a way that is intimate, beautiful, and true to the your story. That means more than just the decorations, but all the giddy laughter and ugly cries in between.
I try to spend personal time on the front end to get to know each of my couples. What it is that motivates you, what it is that captivated you about your partner from the beginning to now. So, let’s grab a coffee or drink and start planning the wedding of your dreams!
Behind the Lens
After about 8 years in the wedding industry, I find myself coming back again and again because I truly believe in real, authentic, I-give-a-huge-shit-about-you kind of love. And seeing, and witnessing that with my camera has truly been the greatest joy in my life so far.
I believe that there's something sweet and unique in the ways we show our love for others. And the ways our families or chosen families show up to show our partners their love, approval and support as well.
That's why I'm a wedding photographer. Seeing how communities support each other in their life's journeys to make a kinda crazy commitment to another human being...well it's a pretty rad thing to see several times a year.
I sincerely believe that the most important thing in this life is human connection. And being able to document that has been my favorite way to contribute to this beautiful life.
